This brief is focusing on choosing contemporary and unique phrases for their card designs, so I looked back to my Seasonal Range brief where I too was trying to choose quotes and lines that perhaps were a little different to all the usual celebratory sayings. I really liked my 'Nobody washes my socks like you do' saying for Mother's Day as an example of how I want the tone of voice to be in this brief. Funny but cute is the direction I am going down and they must be said in 10 words or less, so here are my chosen lines for each of the five occasions:
Birthday:
- Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional
- Birthdays: nature's way of telling us to eat more cake
Anniversary:
- Time flies when you're having fun!
- My life began the day I met you
Wedding Day:
- If ever two were one, it's you!
- A love like yours deserves to be celebrated
Engagement:
- Congratulations, you two are the definition of perfect!
- Love is a game that two play and both win
New Baby:
- Smelly, dribbly, noisy, but totally and utterly adorable! Well done!
- What can I say apart from awwwwww!
